Job Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in culinary field or appropriate continuing education and relevant work experience
- Experience in producing high-volume, high-quality food
- Must have experience with various cooking duties including grilling and sauce preparation
- Ability to operate traditional Indian cooking equipment including tandoor
- Ability to prepare traditional Indian curries, sauces, and desserts
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and compliance including HACCP
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ability to work flexibly including different shifts such as nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and maintain high standards in food preparation
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly
- Must observe safety and security procedures
Job Qualifications
- Experience in producing Indian cuisine
- Flexibility to perform assigned tasks independently or as part of a team
- Formal training in food safety and regulatory compliance is a plus
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Excellent attention to detail and self-organization skills
- Ability to manage a heavy workload
- Ability to monitor accurately
- Flexibility to work different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties
- Produce high-volume, high-quality Indian cuisine dishes from menus
- Perform various cooking duties including grilling and preparing sauces
- Operate traditional Indian cooking equipment to prepare meats and breads
- Prepare Indian curries, sauces, and desserts according to Head Chef standards
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, burners, pans, and other cooking equipment
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Indian cuisine including desserts
- Ensure correct preparation and presentation standards of dishes are maintained
- Teach tandoor techniques and cooking procedures to other staff when required
- Store food in temperature-controlled freezers
- Check food supplies and advise the supervisor of requirements
- Comply with food safety policies including HACCP and GMP guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
