Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years culinary experience with at least 3 years supervisory experience
  • Professional Food Manager Certification required
  • Ability to work a flexible and varying schedule based on special events and business demands
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • High attention to food safety and quality
  • Capability to manage food cost targets and minimize waste
  • Skill in training and evaluating team members

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or Chef's Apprentice preferred
  • More than 5 years of culinary experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional Food Manager Certification
  • Proven ability to ideate, create and execute menu offerings at a high level
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Supervises food preparation and execution of menu items, ensuring the highest level of food quality according to menu specs
  • Leads development of new and seasonal menu items that align with venue theme and company brand
  • Partners with front of house leadership to uphold standards and guarantee a successful operation
  • Oversees daily practices of cleanliness and safe food practices of assigned venue
  • Works closely with direct reports to uphold standards of HACCP program
  • Responsible for managing culinary labor, cost of goods, spoilage, and variances per forecast and budget
  • Coaches and develops hourly and exempt direct reports, ensuring proper training and upholding policies
  • Participates actively in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies and team activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
