Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior supervisory experience
- prior experience operating bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, fryers, and slicers
- ability to lift, twist, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
- strong customer service skills
- ability to maintain and update signage and pricing
- proficient in operating electronic cash registers and handling cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers
- effective communication skills
- ability to perform temperature checks four times daily and record results
Job Qualifications
- basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior supervisory experience
- prior experience with oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materials
Job Duties
- Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
- accurately record customers' orders and requests for cakes and bakery items
- process customer purchases quickly and accurately using electronic cash register, scanner, and scale
- review daily departmental Communication Board and follow guidelines for Sampling Program and intercom announcements
- ice and decorate cakes and pastries according to customer and company specifications
- record out-of-stock conditions and report to the department manager
- fill and stock donut, cookie, cake cases, and other display tables throughout the store
