Job Requirements

Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs from the floor to shelving or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezer
maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas
care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations
accurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers
respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politely
proper usage of store phone and intercom systems
supervise/perform the checking of case and cooler temperatures 4 times daily utilizing the time keeping system to record each check

Job Qualifications

Basic mathematics skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
high school diploma or equivalent
prior supervisory experience
prior experience with oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materials

Job Duties

Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
accurately record customers' order/requests for cakes and other bakery items
process customer purchases quickly and accurately by operating an electronic cash register, scanner and scale
review the perishable department Communication Board daily for updated materials and follow the guidelines posted for the Sampling Program and intercom announcements
ice and decorate cakes and pastries to customers and company specifications
record out-of-stock conditions and the time they occur and report to the department manager
fill/stock donut case, cookie case, cake case, other display cases, and counter and display tables throughout the store
