Job Requirements
- Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs, from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezer
- maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas
- care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations
- accurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers
- respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politely
- proper usage of store phone and intercom systems
- to supervise/perform the checking of case and cooler temperatures 4 times daily utilizing the time keeping system to record each check
Job Qualifications
- Basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior supervisory experience
- prior experience with oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materials
Job Duties
- Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
- to accurately record customers’ order/requests for cakes and other bakery items
- to process customer purchases quickly and accurately by the operation of an electronic cash register, scanner and scale
- to review the perishable department Communication Board daily for updated materials and follow the guidelines posted for the Sampling Program and intercom announcements
- to greet all customers, respond to customer questions/requests and explain store policies in a courteous manner
- to ice and decorate cakes and pastries to customers and company specifications
- to record "out-of-stock" conditions and the time they occur and report to the department manager
- to fill/stock: donut case, cookie case, cake case, other display cases, and counter and display tables throughout the store
