Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience
- Prior experience using bakery equipment including oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materials
- Ability to lift, twist, move, and carry up to 50 lbs from floor to shelving or overhead racks
- Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas
- Accurately handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers
- Respond promptly and politely to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions
- Proper usage of store phone and intercom systems
- Ability to work in environment with transitions of heat, cold, humidity, and dust
- Commitment to comply with company policies and applicable laws
Job Qualifications
- Basic mathematics skills including add, subtract, multiply, divide
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior supervisory experience
- Prior experience with bakery equipment such as oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materials
Job Duties
- Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely
- Accurately record customers' order/requests for cakes and other bakery items
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using electronic cash register, scanner, and scale
- Review perishable department Communication Board daily and follow guidelines for Sampling Program and intercom announcements
- Ice and decorate cakes and pastries to customers and company specifications
- Record out-of-stock conditions and report to department manager
- Fill and stock donut case, cookie case, cake case, other display cases, and counter and display tables throughout the store
