Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in the petroleum industry

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in the petroleum industry
  • Associates Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of API RP 1173, management systems, and EH&S regulations applicable to P&T operations
  • Experience with Enablon software
  • TapRoot or similar incident investigation certification

Job Duties

  • Maintain the P&T management system and coordinate compliance with API RP 1173 working with individual management system element owners
  • Maintain management system policies, including review and revision as needed
  • Coordinate quarterly management review of established MS key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Complete annual MS maturity assessment coordinating with MS element owners
  • Fill role of P&T Risk Register Owner, including maintaining the Hazard ID and Risk Assessment Policy and evaluating events, audit and investigation findings, and pipeline and facility risks per the policy
  • Coordinate annual management review of the MS, including annual review of KPIs, risk register, maturity assessment, and development of annual MS goals, objectives, and targets (GOTs)
  • Lead the P&T event investigation program, including maintaining the Event Reporting and Investigation Policy, evaluating incidents, near misses, and good catches that are reported, and conducting investigations per the policy
  • Assist with the development of event corrective actions and entry of action plans from a variety of sources into the action plan software system
  • Lead the P&T lessons learned program, including maintaining the Lessons Learned Policy and developing internal and external lessons learned per the policy
  • Perform MS training with employees
  • Monitor the Federal Register to identify new and emerging regulations and standards and communicate with management to determine their applicability to P&T assets and operations
  • Perform emergency response duties including participation in drills and exercises
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Travel (approximately 10%) will be required to conduct investigations and training
  • Other duties as assigned
