Job Requirements
- bilingual or multilingual communication skills
- prior experience working with a diverse population
- work experience in higher education or a related field
- familiarity with platforms such as Canvas, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and 25Live
- effective communicator across a broad range of backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and identities
- skilled at building and maintaining positive working relationships across teams and departments
- previous experience setting up or supporting audio/visual equipment for events or meetings
Job Qualifications
- basic understanding of audio/visual equipment setup and support or willingness to learn
- proficient in using word processing tools to create and edit documents
- clear, professional communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to learn and navigate new computer applications and digital tools
- strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities
- capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- reliable and committed to maintaining a high standard of service
- physically able to lift and move up to 20 pounds of equipment
Job Duties
- Provide audio/visual setup and troubleshooting for events
- assist with classroom access, Canvas questions, printing issues, and supply requests
- support physical setup for small events including tables, chairs, and signage
- communicate with faculty and event clients to confirm needs and document services
- maintain documentation in Teams, 25Live, and shared drives
- conduct daily room sweeps for equipment and signage
- answer phones using Ring Central, transfer calls, and check voicemail professionally
