Job Requirements

  • bilingual or multilingual communication skills
  • prior experience working with a diverse population
  • work experience in higher education or a related field
  • familiarity with platforms such as Canvas, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and 25Live
  • effective communicator across a broad range of backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and identities
  • skilled at building and maintaining positive working relationships across teams and departments
  • previous experience setting up or supporting audio/visual equipment for events or meetings

Job Qualifications

  • basic understanding of audio/visual equipment setup and support or willingness to learn
  • proficient in using word processing tools to create and edit documents
  • clear, professional communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to learn and navigate new computer applications and digital tools
  • strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities
  • capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • reliable and committed to maintaining a high standard of service
  • physically able to lift and move up to 20 pounds of equipment

Job Duties

  • Provide audio/visual setup and troubleshooting for events
  • assist with classroom access, Canvas questions, printing issues, and supply requests
  • support physical setup for small events including tables, chairs, and signage
  • communicate with faculty and event clients to confirm needs and document services
  • maintain documentation in Teams, 25Live, and shared drives
  • conduct daily room sweeps for equipment and signage
  • answer phones using Ring Central, transfer calls, and check voicemail professionally
