Job Requirements

  • University degree or advanced degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or minimum 3 years of experience with advanced degree
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by law
  • Ability to work onsite primarily at the North Charleston location
  • Willingness to support first and second shifts and respond to emergency support requests during off-hours
  • Capable of working independently and leading teams in a fast-paced production environment

Job Qualifications

  • University degree with minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or advanced degree in a related field with minimum 3 years of experience
  • Airframe & Powerplant license and familiarity with airfield operations
  • Experience with regulatory requirements including 14 CFR part 21/43/45, FAA Order 8900.1, and AS9100
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Contracts
  • Technical aptitude, general platform knowledge, specification and drawing familiarity, and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Experience leading on-site quality investigations
  • Ability to travel 5-10%

Job Duties

  • Oversight of the OWVA teams and all resources necessary to provide this support on their assigned shift
  • Proactively and routinely coordinate with interfacing on-site Collins Aerospace support teams, Boeing functional groups, and business unit value stream stakeholders to ensure positive progress and closure of ongoing emergent support and change incorporation activities on their assigned shift
  • Track and update status and progress of all support provided on their assigned shift, ensuring completed OWVA records and relevant support artifacts are attached to support entries
  • Perform routine audits of activities supported by the OWVA team on their assigned shift to ensure compliance with work instructions and safety requirements
  • Work closely with Boeing and Collins BU Value Stream Operations team to resolve issues holding Collins Aerospace products in the customer’s receiving and shipping areas
  • Collaborate with Collins BU Value Stream Quality to resolve product quality issues and manage containment activities
  • Manage vendor assist activities for timely completion of product change incorporations and emergent issue resolutions
  • Provide technical support to Spirit Aerosystems by troubleshooting aircraft systems and coordinating with engineering and supplier representatives
