Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program
  • Credentialing as Medical Assistant meeting federal CMS guidelines
  • Current CPR certification
  • Six months of clinical experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate in person and by phone
  • Ability to operate PC and perform data entry
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data from MCIR and Nextgen systems
  • Ability to handle high levels of stress
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and travel for appointments
  • Adherence to HIPAA and privacy regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program
  • Credentialing as a Medical Assistant meeting federal CMS guidelines
  • Current CPR certification
  • Six months of clinical experience preferred
  • Proficiency in data entry and use of electronic health record systems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to assist diverse populations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards
  • Ability to operate PC or laptop
  • Ability to handle stress
  • Ability to perform light physical work

Job Duties

  • Prepare clinic area and materials according to protocols
  • Receive patients and coordinate initial interviews
  • Prepare patients for examination and document complaints and vital signs
  • Arrange specialized testing and facilitate referrals
  • Administer standardized tests and assist healthcare providers
  • Collect specimens and perform CLIA waived tests
  • Document care in electronic health records
  • Provide care following Mobile Health Unit standing orders
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as insurance screening and appointment scheduling
  • Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
