Job Requirements
- 21+ years of age
- Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen
- Commercial vehicle drivers must have the ability to read and speak English to converse with the public, understand highway signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
- Possession of a Class C / Standard Operator Driver License
- Physical ability to lift and move freight weighing between 40 to 60 pounds on average and up to 100 pounds
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class C / Standard Operator Driver License
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow safety instructions and communicate with customers
- Good physical condition to handle lifting, pushing, or moving freight up to 100 pounds
- Proven reliability and punctuality in previous employment
- Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
- Willingness to comply with all DOT driver qualification requirements
Job Duties
- Safely operate a Class C vehicle on assigned delivery routes
- Manually unload and deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing friendly and efficient service
- Follow all Department of Transportation regulations and company safety policies
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Accurately document delivery information and collect necessary customer signatures or payments
- Occasionally operate Class A or B tractor-trailers as needed and qualified
