Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- considerable experience in special event support
- experience operating sound and lighting equipment for events
- possession of valid Class B Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- completion of NIMS ICS 100 and ICS 700 training
- ability to perform medium to heavy physical work
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- ability to pass drug testing and background checks

- knowledge of equipment and supplies needed for special events
- knowledge of sound and lighting equipment

Job Duties
- Determines needs for special events and obtains the required equipment and supplies
- operates sound and light equipment in support of Town events such as concerts, media conferences or athletic events
- conducts inventories of equipment and supplies
- takes down equipment after events and cleans up
- sets up traffic pattern according to instructions from the police department
- determines what is required for the event and assigns costs for personnel, supplies and equipment
- provides accurate work order data at the completion of each event
- assists other divisions as needed
- manages other personnel assisting with the event
- picks up trash and debris from grounds
- maintains equipment and performs preventative maintenance
- works with hazardous weather response team for snow, ice and debris removal
- performs other job-related tasks as required
