Job Requirements
- Must be bondable
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Knowledge of event planning and social media marketing
- Skilled in prioritizing and organizing multiple projects
- Ability to adapt to changing environments

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficient in computer and related software applications

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, recreation, business, or related field preferred
- High school diploma or GED with two or more years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of event planning methods and strategies
- Proficient in social media marketing and event promotion
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Skilled in analyzing information and making recommendations
- Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with public and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Supervise planning, development, and execution of special events and event programming
- Supervise outdoor programming at The Lawn at The Lakefront
- Manage and oversee Special Event Ambassadors and event staff
- Negotiate and coordinate contracts with vendors and obtain necessary permits
- Manage budgets for assigned events
- Handle vendor applications, selection, communication, and execution
- Interact with the public and staff to address inquiries, complaints, and emergencies
- Develop sponsorship relationships and funding opportunities
- Recruit volunteers and manage volunteer database
- Hire and evaluate artists and talent
- Collaborate with marketing for promotional materials
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and community stakeholders
- Develop strategies to increase community engagement
- Operate with minimal supervision and maintain professionalism during events
- Respond to customer, sponsor, and vendor concerns
- Participate actively in local business associations
- Recommend and assist with implementing departmental goals
- Travel for meetings, programs, and training
- Work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Uphold Town's core values of integrity, customer service, efficiency, and innovation
- Perform additional assigned duties
