Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ related experience in sales, specifically in entertainment and hospitality industries
  • Ability to work on-site
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office and catering software
  • Experience with Momentus Elite and Prismm systems preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up efficiently
  • Flexible to work varied hours based on event schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • More than 5 years of experience in entertainment and hospitality sales
  • Proven track record of generating profitable client relationships
  • Working knowledge of local and regional markets and special event operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, catering software, and calendaring systems
  • Experience with Momentus Elite and Prismm preferred
  • Ability to delegate and manage teams effectively
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Proactively pitch and book private special events in assigned market segments
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals
  • Consistently fulfill sales call and networking quotas while maintaining impeccable client detail tracking
  • Create event recruitment strategies to increase both public-facing and private special event content
  • Work with all in-house departments to ensure consistency, accuracy, and optimal financial outcomes on events
  • Review industry trends and recommend new business opportunities supporting strategic plans
  • Handle initial phone calls and electronic inquiries within 24 hours
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive targeted list of client companies and organizations
  • Ensure positive venue perception in the community and professional organizations
  • Draft event contracts and manage event files and databases
  • Coordinate event scheduling through Momentus Elite and communicate with relevant parties
  • Conduct venue tours for potential clients, location scouts, and event producers
  • Distribute contract details to appropriate departments and participate in weekly special events meetings
  • Solicit new business opportunities through cold calls, presentations, and market prospecting with diverse client groups
  • Identify key clients for discount/incentive programs and preferred status
  • Manage and track account activity
  • Validate and secure space availability
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals
  • Develop expertise in proprietary systems like Momentus Elite and Prismm
  • Represent OCVIBE at local and national industry meetings
  • Assist in developing sales collateral and campaigns
  • Monitor sales and event industry changes and adjust strategies accordingly
