Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in entertainment and hospitality industries
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work on-site
  • proficiency with sales software

  • experience in event contract negotiation
  • knowledge of local and regional market trends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience generating consistently profitable relationships in entertainment and hospitality
  • working knowledge of local and regional markets
  • special event operations experience
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Suite, catering software and calendaring systems
  • experience with Momentus Elite and Prismm preferred
  • ability to delegate, follow up and relate effectively with staff, guests and clients

Job Duties

  • Proactively pitch and book private special events in assigned market segments
  • meet and exceed individual sales goals
  • consistently fulfill sales call and networking quotas while maintaining impeccable client detail tracking
  • create event recruitment strategies to increase content and programming
  • work with in-house departments to ensure consistency and financial optimization on events
  • review industry trends and recommend new business opportunities
  • handle initial phone and electronic inquiries promptly
  • develop and maintain a comprehensive targeted list of client companies and organizations
  • ensure optimal venue perception within community and professional organizations
  • draft event contracts and maintain files and databases
  • coordinate special events on venue calendar and communicate details
  • give tours to potential clients and scouts
  • communicate and distribute contract details to appropriate departments and attend weekly meetings
  • proactively solicit new business opportunities via multiple channels
  • identify key clients for discount and incentive programs
  • manage and track account activity
  • validate and secure space availability for new opportunities
  • negotiate contractual points and close deals
  • establish expertise in company systems
  • represent OCVIBE at industry meetings
  • assist in development of sales collateral and campaigns
  • monitor and adapt to changes in sales and special events industry
