Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in entertainment or hospitality sales
- On-site work capability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and catering software
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Experience with event management software preferred
- Valid ability to conduct sales presentations and negotiations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Over 5 years of experience in sales within the entertainment and hospitality industries
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of local and regional markets and special event operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering software
- Experience with Momentus Elite and Prismm preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate effectively
- Strong organizational and client relationship management skills
Job Duties
- Proactively pitch and book private special events in assigned market segments
- Meet and exceed individual sales goals
- Consistently fulfill sales call and networking quotas while maintaining impeccable client detail tracking
- Create event recruitment strategies to increase content and programming
- Coordinate with in-house departments for event consistency and financial optimization
- Review industry trends and recommend new business opportunities
- Handle initial phone and electronic inquiries promptly
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive targeted client list
- Ensure optimal venue perception in community and professional organizations
- Draft event contracts and maintain event files and databases
- Coordinate special events calendar and communicate schedule details
- Conduct venue tours for potential clients and event producers
- Distribute contract details to appropriate departments and attend weekly meetings
- Solicit new business through cold calls, presentations, and prospecting
- Establish discount and incentive programs and preferred client status
- Manage and track account activity and secure space availability
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Develop expertise in event management systems
- Represent the company at local and national industry meetings
- Assist in developing sales collateral and campaigns
- Monitor industry changes and adapt strategies accordingly
