Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in entertainment or hospitality industries
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of local and regional event markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and event management software
  • Ability to work on-site
  • Willingness to attend industry meetings and networking events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience generating profitable relationships in entertainment and hospitality industries
  • Working knowledge of local and regional markets and special event operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, catering software, and calendaring systems
  • Experience with Momentus Elite and Prismm preferred
  • Ability to delegate, follow up, and communicate effectively with staff, guests, and clients
  • Demonstrated expertise in event sales and contract negotiation
  • Familiarity with industry events and professional organizations

Job Duties

  • Proactively pitch and book private special events in assigned market segments
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals
  • Consistently fulfill sales call and networking quotas while maintaining impeccable client detail tracking
  • Create event recruitment strategies to increase content and programming including public-facing and private special events
  • Work with all in-house departments to ensure consistency, accuracy, and optimal financial opportunities on all events
  • Review industry trends and recommend new business opportunities
  • Handle initial phone calls and electronic inquiries promptly within 24 hours
  • Develop and continually build a comprehensive targeted list of client companies and organizations
  • Ensure optimal perception of venue within the community and professional organizations
  • Draft event contracts and maintain files and databases
  • Coordinate special events on venue calendar and communicate schedule details to necessary parties
  • Provide tours for potential clients and event producers with event managers
  • Distribute contract details to appropriate departments and attend weekly Special Events Meetings
  • Solicit new business opportunities via cold calls, sales calls, client presentations, and prospecting across diverse sectors
  • Identify key clients to create discount/incentive programs and preferred status
  • Manage and track account activity
  • Validate and secure space availability for new opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals
  • Establish expertise in using Momentus Elite, Prismm, and other systems
  • Represent OCVIBE at local and national meetings related to hospitality industry
  • Assist in developing OCVIBE Special Events sales collateral and campaigns
  • Monitor changes in sales and special events industry and develop adjustment strategies
