Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of relevant industry experience
- Proven event management skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to travel between California locations
- Ability to stand for eight hours
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of proven industry experience in hospitality, banquet, catering, or high-volume fine dining establishments
- Proficient in handling events from 50 to 1,750 attendees
- HACCP or Serv-Safe certification
- Proven event management and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude
- Exceptional organizational skills to support planning and delegation
Job Duties
- Executes a prep list with the pastry staff that provides clear and concise explanations
- Executes specific tasks with all special events pastry staff on event days to ensure efficient and qualitative service
- Communicates directly with front of house staff regarding time guidelines, counts, and special dietary restrictions before service execution
- Organizes, produces, and executes all events to exceed customer expectations
- Ensures quality items are served on schedule and approves all prepared food items leaving the kitchen
- Adapts and executes menus efficiently and qualitatively
- Ensures culinary staff comply with proper handling of products including cooling, heating, storage and sanitation guidelines
- Maintains an orderly, safe, and sanitary workplace
