Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant event planning experience
  • Proven budget and vendor management
  • Flexible schedule accommodating evenings and weekends
  • Successful background check
  • Reliable transportation for off-site meetings
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning preferably in nonprofit fundraising
  • Proven success managing budgets, vendors, and sponsorship relationships
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with donor databases and event management software preferred
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Ability to adapt quickly and stay calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and manage all fundraising and engagement events including the annual gala
  • Develop event timelines, budgets, and work plans to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution
  • Oversee vendor selection, contracts, and logistics including venue, catering, decor, entertainment, and AV
  • Collaborate with the development team to secure sponsorships, in-kind donations, and event revenue
  • Assist in creating sponsorship proposals, benefit packages, and follow-up reports
  • Partner with marketing to develop event branding, invitations, and digital campaigns
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and event staff providing clear guidance and on-site leadership
