Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of relevant event planning experience
- Proven budget and vendor management
- Flexible schedule accommodating evenings and weekends
- Successful background check
- Reliable transportation for off-site meetings
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during events
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in event planning preferably in nonprofit fundraising
- Proven success managing budgets, vendors, and sponsorship relationships
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with donor databases and event management software preferred
- Creative problem-solving ability
- Ability to adapt quickly and stay calm under pressure
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and manage all fundraising and engagement events including the annual gala
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and work plans to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution
- Oversee vendor selection, contracts, and logistics including venue, catering, decor, entertainment, and AV
- Collaborate with the development team to secure sponsorships, in-kind donations, and event revenue
- Assist in creating sponsorship proposals, benefit packages, and follow-up reports
- Partner with marketing to develop event branding, invitations, and digital campaigns
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and event staff providing clear guidance and on-site leadership
