Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years experience coordinating events for a nonprofit or corporate organization or related capacity
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Customer-service oriented approach
- Ability to work a mix of typical office hours and nights and weekends as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, Outlook, Airtable, Docusign, and donor database systems
- Ability to be on foot for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to remain calm and problem-solve in fast-moving environments
Job Qualifications
- One or more years experience coordinating events for a nonprofit or corporate organization or related capacity
- Good interpersonal skills and passion for customer service and sales
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work a mix of office hours, nights, and weekends
- Experience using MS Office, Google Suite, Outlook, Airtable, Docusign, and donor database systems such as ALTRU
- Ability to understand and interpret the Museum’s mission
- Proficiency in a language other than English is a plus
- Ability to remain calm and problem-solve in fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- Enthusiastically promotes the Museum and rentable spaces to potential clients with an emphasis on forming new relationships
- Works with the Marketing and Design team to market event spaces on appropriate platforms
- Develops and maintains relationship-driven and long-term business partnerships
- Coordinates all aspects of events from initial contact to final invoice including client and vendor communication, scheduling, staffing, and compliance with Museum policies
- Ensures event operations do not disrupt daily Museum functions
- Collaborates with other Museum departments to ensure smooth event execution
- Tracks event listings in internal Museum calendars
- Evaluates and documents event outcomes to improve program effectiveness
