Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED required
- three years of industry experience in hospitality, banquet, catering or high-volume fine dining
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- availability to travel between California CIA locations if required
- physical ability to stand for eight hours
- ability to work in extreme temperatures hot and cold
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds or more with assistance
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- three years of proven industry experience related to hospitality, banquet, catering, or high-volume fine dining
- proficient in executing events of 50 to 1,750 guests
- HACCP or Serv-Safe certified
- proven event management and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude
- ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer service
- exceptional organizational and logistical planning skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize competing requests
Job Duties
- Execute prep lists with culinary staff providing clear explanations
- execute specific tasks with all special events culinary staff on event days
- communicate directly with front of house staff regarding time guidelines, counts and special dietary restrictions
- organize, produce, and execute all events to exceed customer expectations
- ensure quality items are served on schedule and approve all prepared food items leaving the kitchen
- adapt and execute menus efficiently and qualitatively
- ensure all culinary staff adhere to proper handling, cooling, heating, storage, and sanitation guidelines
- oversee sanitation of all kitchen equipment
- maintain an orderly, safe, and sanitary workplace
- perform any other duties as assigned
