Job Requirements

- Some experience in event coordination, recreation, or boating programs preferred
- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

- Valid Indiana Driver's License preferred
- Indiana DNR Safe Boating Education Certification preferred
- First Aid and CPR Certification (American Heart Association, within two weeks of hire) preferred
- Proficient in kayaking, canoeing, or other non-powered boats
- Experience operating motorized boats safely
- Familiarity with Riverfront Fort Wayne programs, ecology, and local history
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Job Duties
- Plan, set up, and lead events and programs, including walking tours, field trips, and on-water activities
- Assist with boating operations, including boat preparation, passenger instruction, and safety supervision
- Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise volunteers and instructors as needed
- Maintain inventory, prepare reports, collect fees, and manage program resources
- Engage participants with professional, informative, and enthusiastic guidance
- Assist with supervising instructors and volunteers during programs and events
