Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Must be prepared to drive a golf cart
- Occasionally work outside in all seasons
- Do a large amount of walking, standing, lifting and carrying of event materials
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- A bachelor’s degree or student working towards a degree in event management, marketing, communications or related field preferred
- Prefer 1-3 years of successful experience in event planning
- Marketing experience preferred
Job Duties
- Event execution
- Work with internal and external committees and volunteers
- Attend zoo events as event support or event lead
- Assist special events team on events to build zoo attendance and revenue
- Work independently and as part of a team to create exceptional guest experiences
- Work most events on calendar and take direction from event lead on those events where this position is not event lead
- Assist with researching new event ideas or enhancing current events
- Completing event team notes as applicable
- Provide reports in a timely manner on attendance, revenue, expenses and marketing efforts for each event
