Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Experience in event planning preferred
- Ability to drive a golf cart
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to walk, stand, lift and carry event materials
- Availability to work weekends, holidays and evenings
- Ability to work 24 hours per week on a flexible schedule
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree or student in event management, marketing, communications or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of successful experience in event planning preferred
- Marketing experience preferred
- Ability to drive a golf cart
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
- Ability to walk, stand, lift and carry event materials
Job Duties
- Work with internal and external committees and volunteers
- Attend zoo events as event support or event lead
- Assist special events team on events to build zoo attendance and revenue
- Work independently and as part of a team to create exceptional guest experiences
- Work most events on calendar and take direction from event lead on those events where this position is not event lead
- Assist with researching new event ideas or enhancing current events
- Completing event team notes as applicable
- Provide reports in a timely manner on attendance, revenue, expenses and marketing efforts for each event
