Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in event planning or coordination preferred
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • proficiency with social media platforms and marketing strategies
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to supervise and lead a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in event planning or coordination preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • proficiency in social media and marketing
  • leadership or supervisory experience a plus
  • familiarity with budgeting and vendor management

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, manage, and operate various Department-hosted events and programs
  • coordinate and manage event tasks including planning timelines, booking entertainment/vendors, coordinating staffing, assisting with setup/tear down
  • prepare and manage event budgets
  • collaborate on sponsor acquisition, fulfillment, and activation
  • promote the Recreation Division throughout the community, including developing marketing materials and marketing events on social media
  • represent department at various community activities
  • supervise and direct assigned personnel
