Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree with emphasis on event management, hospitality, or related discipline
  • Three years of experience coordinating and supporting conferences for large groups
  • Valid driver license
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as assigned
  • Must be a current permanent or temporary CCCD employee
  • Must comply with District policies and professional ethics
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in graphic arts, desktop publishing, and related software
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

  • Valid driver license

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and administer large-scale events such as workshops, conferences, and competitions
  • Develop and maintain participant and subject matter information
  • Arrange for venues, speakers, judges, and panelists
  • Provide logistics and hospitality support to campus and district administrators
  • Support events-in-progress with multimedia, supplies, evaluations, and certificates
  • Work with judges and event leaders to select competition criteria and participation rules
  • Prepare and distribute promotional materials including flyers, announcements, and programs
  • Manage fee statements, billing, and registration support
  • Compose professional correspondence and reports
  • Perform related duties as assigned supporting the position's objectives
