Job Requirements

  • Willing to travel extensively

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • one to two years of experience in events, marketing, and/or communications preferred
  • ability to present information concisely and effectively in both verbal and written manners
  • ability to maintain composure and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • experience in baseball or softball highly preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • ability to work independently with little supervision
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • energetic and self-motivated

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute the designated yearly goal of Legends for Youth, coaches clinics, and special events
  • manage event logistics including scheduling, budgets, guest lists, venue, travel, lodging, and set up/break down
  • serve as liaison between former players, current players, and outside partners including charities, organizations, and foundations
  • collaborate with third-party organizations for successful execution of events from conception to completion
  • generate new events and networking while on the road and in the office
  • maintain and build relationships with team contacts, sponsors, and third-party organizations
  • increase revenue and participation for youth clinics and the events department
  • work collaboratively with membership, memorabilia, marketing, and communication departments
