Job Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in event planning required
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
  • Commitment to school’s mission, philosophy, and values
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Flexibility to attend events up to 1-2 evenings per month and approximately 4 weekends per year
  • Physical ability to meet job demands including lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in event or project management, business, communications, hospitality management, marketing, or logistics
  • Previous experience in event planning
  • Strong project management skills

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of special events including alumni, fundraising initiatives, stewardship, donor cultivation, and community outreach programs
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to develop event concepts, themes, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage event logistics such as venue selection, catering, guest lists, invitations, and onsite coordination
  • Support Development team by enhancing the PHS brand and cultivating philanthropic support
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all event planning activities
  • Provide onsite coordination and troubleshooting during events
  • Manage deadlines and multitask to effectively prioritize tasks
