Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years experience in event planning
- Valid driver's license
- Successful background check
- Ability to work outside normal business hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years experience in event planning
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience with public relations, marketing, and fundraising preferred
- Strong communication skills including interacting with senior leadership
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs
- Knowledge of event psychology and fiscal responsibility
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, coordinate, promote and execute special events for Augusta University partners
- Advise internal and external partners on protocols and event standards
- Collaborate with partners to develop new events and manage existing ones
- Assist customers in event concept development, timelines, budgets, and logistics
- Establish and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors, and partners
- Develop and deliver training on event protocols and etiquette
- Serve as a resource for event organizers within the university
