Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent
- One month related experience or training
- Valid state-issued driver’s license if required to drive company vehicle
- Availability to work second or third shifts and weekends as needed
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one with customers and employees
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
- Maintain neat and clean appearance and uniform
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, balance and move up to 25 pounds
- Commitment to punctuality and attendance
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent
- One month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers and employees
- Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by tens and hundreds
- Ability to perform basic math operations using US currency
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle is required
- Knowledge of garage policies and customer service principles
- Ability to maintain neat and clean appearance and uniform standards
- Basic physical ability to stand, walk, climb, balance and handle equipment and cash
- Knowledge of local streets, landmarks and freeways surrounding garage
Job Duties
- Ensure an appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout shift
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
- Count vehicles on location throughout shift as needed
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts if applicable
- Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten their parking location
- Be punctual, present at work every scheduled day, and wear complete uniform
- Courteously assist customers by answering questions and, if necessary, direct them to the Facility Manager
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
- Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by Facility Manager
- Report any accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager
- Communicate issues such as debris, water, and oil spills to garage office
- Substitute for valets when necessary and authorized
- Maintain thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways near the garage
- Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed
