Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
  • basic computer proficiency
  • willingness to follow safety and operational protocols
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in customer service or event support preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • ability to work productively as part of a team
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Setup and break down events and programs
  • follow verbal and written directions from staff and supervisors
  • show up in a timely fashion for all shifts
  • multi-task effectively
  • interact with clients and serve as a representative of the MPAC
  • assist clients with technical and non-technical issues
  • help maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety practices
  • provide excellent customer service
  • work with staff to prepare and plan for upcoming events
  • inspect and report damages
  • maintain inventory of MPAC event items
  • work comfortably on ladders and lifts
  • perform minor emergency maintenance such as replacing light bulbs
  • perform cleaning tasks like vacuuming and sweeping
  • log special event permit and film permit applications
  • assemble packets for special event committee meetings
  • track permit processes throughout city departments
  • perform other duties as assigned
