Job Requirements
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- must have Class C Texas Driver's License
- ability to stand for extended periods of time
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to follow verbal and written directions
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- willingness to work in varied environmental conditions including exposure to weather, fumes, and noise
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels is acceptable
- six months of related work experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, subordinates, and customers
- basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ability to work in a team environment and contribute as a team member
- ability to produce desired work outcomes including quality, quantity, and timeliness
Job Duties
- Setup and break down events and programs
- ability to follow verbal and written directions from staff and supervisors
- show up in a timely fashion for all shifts as required
- ability to multi-task
- interact with clients and serve as a representative of the MPAC
- assist clients with technical and non-technical issues and concerns as they develop
- help maintain a safe environment for the clients and staff by adhering to and enforcing standard safety practices
- provide excellent customer service
- work with staff to prepare and plan for upcoming events
- inspect and report damages
- maintain inventory of MPAC event items
- work comfortably on ladders and lifts
- perform minor emergency maintenance during events, such as replacement of lights bulbs
- perform tasks which include vacuuming, sweeping and replenishing supplies and product as needed
- log Special Event Permit and Film Permit applications
- assemble packets for Special Event Committee meetings
- track permit process throughout City Departments
