Job Requirements

  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
  • must have Class C Texas Driver's License
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to follow verbal and written directions
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • willingness to work in varied environmental conditions including exposure to weather, fumes, and noise

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels is acceptable
  • six months of related work experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, subordinates, and customers
  • basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • ability to work in a team environment and contribute as a team member
  • ability to produce desired work outcomes including quality, quantity, and timeliness

Job Duties

  • Setup and break down events and programs
  • ability to follow verbal and written directions from staff and supervisors
  • show up in a timely fashion for all shifts as required
  • ability to multi-task
  • interact with clients and serve as a representative of the MPAC
  • assist clients with technical and non-technical issues and concerns as they develop
  • help maintain a safe environment for the clients and staff by adhering to and enforcing standard safety practices
  • provide excellent customer service
  • work with staff to prepare and plan for upcoming events
  • inspect and report damages
  • maintain inventory of MPAC event items
  • work comfortably on ladders and lifts
  • perform minor emergency maintenance during events, such as replacement of lights bulbs
  • perform tasks which include vacuuming, sweeping and replenishing supplies and product as needed
  • log Special Event Permit and Film Permit applications
  • assemble packets for Special Event Committee meetings
  • track permit process throughout City Departments
