Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in hospitality or related field
  • Ability to manage teams and projects

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in hospitality or related major with 1 year experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or comparable area
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in event management and related software systems
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competition
  • Customer service oriented
  • Skilled in budgeting and financial management
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols
  • Capable of training and developing employees

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning and execution of meetings and special events
  • Assist in implementation of departmental strategies
  • Promote and execute property events with seamless sales to operations turnover
  • Lead team to meet and exceed daily and weekly goals including sales, attendance, guest satisfaction, safety
  • Research and analyze new products, pricing, and competition
  • Assist in communication of group impacts on property operations
  • Conduct daily banquet floor walkthroughs
  • Train employees on event-related software systems
  • Develop relationships with vendors and establish service agreements
  • Create upselling opportunities during event planning
  • Manage departmental expenses to achieve budget goals
  • Oversee merchandise inventory and enhance displays
  • Create atmosphere exceeding guest expectations
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Verify employee understanding of expectations
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction in meetings
  • Conduct employee interviews, selection, and training
  • Appraise productivity for promotions or status changes
  • Ensure safety and security of employees and property
  • Monitor attendance and absences
  • Support supervisors in development goals
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals according to SOPs
