Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in event assistance or related field preferred
  • Ability to wear mascot costume and maintain character
  • Strong understanding of human behavior and situational awareness
  • Ability to follow city and departmental policies and procedures
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to event setup and breakdown

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in event support or customer service preferred
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a mascot persona and understand nonverbal communication
  • Basic knowledge of safety and operational procedures
  • Flexibility to work varying hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist with small-scale events, indoor and outdoor concerts, large outdoor festivals, and smaller family events
  • Assist with event set-up and tear-down
  • Comply with city and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Distribute promotional posters
  • Shop for event supplies
  • Wear mascot costume and maintain mascot persona
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human behavior to read situations and engage appropriately
  • Perform other assigned duties
