Job Requirements

  • Four or more years of specialized experience with Navy or other military branch MWR special events and entertainment programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Skill in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret complex directives and apply them to specific situations
  • Knowledge of financial management including budgeting, procurement, and internal controls
  • Ability to assess special events using qualitative and quantitative indicators
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and edit publications related to event management

Job Qualifications

  • Four or more years of specialized experience with Navy or other military branch MWR special events and entertainment programs
  • Knowledge of organizational and technical requirements for large-scale and smaller entertainment events
  • Knowledge of operational policy and administrative procedures for oversight of special events
  • Knowledge of administration, management, and financial practices in special events and entertainment
  • Understanding of CNIC's organizational structure, functions, and mission
  • Proficiency in recreation program management
  • Knowledge of financial management including budgeting and cost analysis
  • Skill in applying qualitative and quantitative assessments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret complex instructions and apply them appropriately

Job Duties

  • Provide administrative and technical support for MWR special events and entertainment
  • Develop and coordinate special event programs in alignment with Navy policies
  • Offer technical direction and guidance for entertainment standards
  • Assess Navy MWR special events using qualitative and quantitative indicators
  • Manage budgeting, procurement, and financial oversight
  • Prepare and review correspondence and publications related to MWR events
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and operational policies for event execution
