Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of related experience in theatre technical support
  • Ability to work on-call and intermittent hours
  • Knowledge of basic electrical theory and safety standards related to stage operations
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and designs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years experience working in lighting, sound, projections, stage rigging, or set construction in a theater or related company
  • Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Fine Arts, or related field preferred
  • Valid California Driver's License preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure a safe working environment and successful completion of events
  • Provide audio setup and operate various sound boards
  • Perform lighting setup including hang and focus, and operate various lighting boards
  • Supervise use of Theatre Department spaces including locking/unlocking and granting access
  • Utilize counterweight rigging system
  • Operate stationary, power, and hand tools as required in woodworking
  • Interpret technical drawings and designs and provide front of house operations and audience management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
