This Seasonal Stage Manager role is a pivotal position within the summer event program, designed to oversee and coordinate various aspects of live summer night entertainment offerings. The position is hourly, compensated at $17 per hour, and requires a proactive leader capable of managing the daily operations and talent involved in multiple productions. The Stage Manager will play a central role in supervising cast, crew, and technician teams, ensuring seamless execution of schedules, rehearsals, and live performances throughout the summer season.

The Seasonal Stage Manager will be responsible for mentoring staff to promote a strong team-oriented atmosphere and for maintaining operational logistics including scheduling, task follow-up, safety training, and equipment procurement. Communications with production, technical, and operations leadership will be essential to uphold the artistic and technical integrity of each show. This leadership role requires expertise in managing daily reports, attendance tracking, performance monitoring, and logistical support to keep all event aspects running smoothly and professionally.

Beyond internal team coordination, the Seasonal Stage Manager will act as a liaison to facilitate collaboration among departments and coordinate special events at various venues, both inside and outside of the park. This position also demands flexibility for coverage across supervisory and technical roles during absences or peak periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in entertainment production or stage management
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead a diverse team and mentor staff
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
  • Physical capability to stand and move during events
  • Must be able to work in various locations as required
  • Valid work authorization

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the supervision and implementation of the daily operation of Summer Event Products and other Consumer Event talent, including scheduling and following up on task assignments for cast and crew
  • Responsible for managing talent and crew for various summer event entertainment offerings
  • Responsible to mentor staff to maintain a successful team-oriented productions
  • Provide over-all logistical support for rehearsals and daily operations of summer event entertainment offerings
  • Developing, updating, and following the SOPs, attendance/performance tracking, daily reports, supply requests and other documentation required for entertainment operations for summer product
  • Ensuring the safety of all Team Members as well as ensuring that all team members are getting required safety training and are using proper PPE
  • Responsible for supervision of areas to include but not limited to
  • events cast, technicians, costume/dresser staff , daily hours reporting, ambassador coaching, overtime requests, deviation/sign in sheets, theatrical and technical systems, theater safety, facility maintenance and cleanliness, monitoring show quality, scheduling and participating in or running rehearsals, daily meetings and information dissemination, team member development, team member record keeping, inventory & procurement of equipment, materials and supplies
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards throughout all assigned tasks, special events and show positions
  • Responsible for maintaining the artistic and technical integrity of the show/event. Knowledge of all positions necessary for show operation
  • Act as front-line management representative. Act as a liaison with Production, Entertainment Technical and Operational Entertainment Management Staff
  • Responsible for coordination and implementation of special events and shows in other venues as needed
  • Responsible for assisting with Entertainment activities and special events in other facilities outside of the park as needed
  • Submit daily/weekly reports to Managers detailing all show and event related activities and other pertinent information
  • Cover for other Supervisors/Technicians/other departments as needed on their days off, vacation, absences etc.
  • Work in a team environment and interact with guests and other ambassadors in a professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
