Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Six months of experience in event planning
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with social media platforms
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- Perform light office work
- Assist the Special Events Manager with day-to-day operations
- Assist in setup, operation and teardown of events
- Interact with event attendees in a friendly, engaging manner
- Assist in identifying sponsorships for events and programs
- Assist in creating new events
- Serve as vendor liaison and coordinator
- Work closely with parks maintenance to ensure cooperation for events
- Coordinate promotion of activities and recruitment of participants for volunteer efforts and department-wide ventures
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of community spaces
- Perform other duties as assigned
