Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in event coordination or related field preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
  • Positive attitude and professionalism
  • Ability to accept and implement feedback
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of event planning software a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Acquire strong knowledge of all event spaces in GEODIS Park
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Ensuring all event specifications are communicated to and executed by all operating departments
  • Act as the on-site event contact for assigned special events, monitoring the entire event production from install to strike
  • Assist in creating event outlines summarizing each event
  • Maintain constant communication with internal departments as it applies to the client at hand
  • Participate in internal and external meetings including walkthroughs and tours
  • Participate in pre-event meetings to ensure all departments have required details
  • Assist in compiling event proposals
  • Responsible for timely set up of all functions
  • Become proficient in event planning software to develop event layout designs
  • Provide support on major events as needed
