Job Description
Old World Wisconsin (OWW) is a unique 600-acre outdoor living history museum located in Eagle, Wisconsin. It offers guests an immersive experience into historical homes, farms, and businesses representing various regions of Wisconsin from the 1840s through the 1930s. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work part-time averaging 15 to 20 hours per week
- availability to work weekends and late evenings
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on feet for extended periods
- ability to travel for outreach and client meetings
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual tour technology
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- experience or education in event management preferred
- Wisconsin residency required due to Limited Term Employment classification
- ability to pass a criminal background check

- excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to juggle many priorities
- ability to manage client expectations and set clear parameters
- computer skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- ability to use technology for virtual tours and meetings
- ability to learn new tasks quickly and be self-motivated
- ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person phone electronically to groups sized from 1 to 500
- experience in revenue management (e.g. tracking payments invoices and contracts)
- availability and ability to work weekends and late evenings
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds be on one’s feet for many hours and transverse a magnitude of terrain
Job Duties
- Create promotional material including photos of the rental locations brochures and other marketing materials
- assist in development of strategy for outreach to target markets such as weddings reunions and corporate rentals
- represent OWW and the Wisconsin Historical Society at external events as needed
- travel and conduct outreach and meetings with potential corporate users
- respond to and track all inquiries for rentals at OWW
- maintain list of all interested parties current and past clients
- schedule familiarization tours for potential clients create tours to best sell OWW as a rental facility including stagings contact information with preferred vendors and present options for rental levels
- execute all rental event day of activities from start to finish
- maintain annual calendar of facility rentals in coordination with OWW Team to correspond to public programs and events
- develop and maintain a calendar and database for coordinating event logistics third party vendors and clients
- establish event details vendor expectations food and beverage plans run of show and payments as part of contracting with client
