Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field
  • 3-5 plus years of leadership experience in spa or luxury hospitality
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management position
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and P&L
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid spa licenses or certifications as required by local regulations
  • Knowledge of spa operations, scheduling, and POS software
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 plus years of leadership experience in a spa, wellness center, or luxury hospitality environment
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and meeting revenue and profit targets
  • Proven success building and leading teams in a high-touch guest environment
  • Knowledge of spa software, POS systems, inventory control, and scheduling platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence across departments
  • Experience in a luxury resort or hotel spa preferred
  • Background as a licensed therapist or esthetician is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with Napa Valley market and luxury traveler expectations preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily spa operations including front desk, locker rooms, treatment rooms, and relaxation areas to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all spa services, cleanliness, safety, and guest journeys
  • Manage scheduling to optimize therapist productivity, guest demand, and labor costs
  • Ensure all licenses, certifications, and inspections are current and compliant
  • Own the spa profit and loss including forecasting, budgeting, and meeting revenue and profit targets
  • Optimize treatment mix, pricing, and promotions based on demand, competitive set, and guest feedback
  • Drive retail strategy including product curation, merchandising, inventory, and shrink management
  • Analyze daily and weekly KPIs to inform operational improvements
  • Curate Napa-specific wellness experiences leveraging local ingredients and seasonality
  • Ensure consistent luxury service standards and personalized guest interactions
  • Monitor guest feedback channels and implement improvements to maintain high satisfaction scores
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Revenue to develop spa packages and promotions
  • Recruit, train, and develop spa team members
  • Implement ongoing training programs with vendors and internal trainers
  • Foster a culture of accountability and wellness through regular performance reviews
  • Create and manage incentive programs to encourage upselling and retail performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Events, and Revenue to integrate spa into resort offerings
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping to maintain spa facilities
  • Provide timely information to Sales for proposals, inspections, and VIP itineraries
