Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of spa or wellness leadership experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience
- Strong financial management skills
- Familiarity with spa operations software
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to maintain up-to-date licenses and certifications
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 plus years of leadership experience in a spa, wellness center, or luxury hospitality environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing profit and loss statements and achieving revenue and profit goals
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead effective teams in a high-touch guest setting
- Knowledge of spa software, point of sale systems, inventory control, and scheduling platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across departments
- Experience in a luxury resort or hotel spa is preferred
- Background as a licensed therapist or esthetician is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with Napa Valley market and luxury traveler expectations is advantageous
Job Duties
- Oversee daily spa operations including front desk, locker rooms, treatment rooms, and relaxation areas
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for spa services, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
- Manage therapist scheduling to optimize productivity, balance guest demand, and control labor costs
- Ensure compliance with all licenses, certifications, and inspections
- Own spa profit and loss forecasting, budgeting, and delivery of revenue and profit targets
- Optimize treatment mix, pricing, and promotional strategies based on demand patterns and guest feedback
- Drive retail strategy including product curation, merchandising, inventory, and shrink management
- Analyze key performance indicators such as treatment utilization, therapist productivity, and revenue per treatment hour and implement necessary course corrections
- Curate Napa-specific wellness experiences leveraging local ingredients and seasonality
- Maintain consistent luxury service standards including personalized greetings and consultative treatment recommendations
- Monitor guest feedback and implement action plans to maintain high satisfaction scores
- Partner with marketing and revenue teams to develop spa packages and promotions
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing spa team
- Facilitate ongoing product and treatment training with partners and internal trainers
- Foster a culture of accountability, wellness, and hospitality through regular performance reviews
- Create and manage incentive programs for upselling and retail performance
- Collaborate with Rooms, Food and Beverage, Sales, and Events teams to integrate spa offerings into resort packages and drive total revenue
- Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping for spa facility maintenance
- Provide timely support to Sales for proposals and VIP itineraries
