Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of spa management or leadership experience
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and financial performance
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency with spa management software and scheduling systems
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 plus years of leadership experience in a spa, wellness center, or luxury hospitality environment
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or manager role
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing a profit and loss statement
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading teams in a high-touch guest environment
  • Knowledge of spa software, point-of-sale systems, inventory control, and scheduling platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a luxury resort or hotel spa preferred
  • Background as a licensed therapist or esthetician is a plus
  • Familiarity with Napa Valley market and luxury traveler expectations

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily spa operations including front desk, locker rooms, treatment rooms, and relaxation areas to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for spa services, guest journeys, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
  • Manage scheduling to balance therapist productivity, guest demand, and labor costs
  • Ensure all licenses, certifications, and inspections are current and compliant
  • Own the spa profit and loss including forecasting, budgeting, and delivering revenue and gross operating profit targets
  • Optimize treatment mix, pricing, and promotions based on demand patterns and guest feedback
  • Drive retail strategy including product curation, merchandising, inventory, and shrink management to maximize retail capture and average retail per guest
  • Analyze daily and weekly key performance indicators and make operational adjustments
  • Curate Napa-specific wellness experiences leveraging local ingredients and seasonality
  • Ensure consistent luxury service standards with personalized greetings and consultative recommendations
  • Monitor guest feedback channels and implement action plans to maintain top-tier satisfaction scores
  • Partner with marketing and revenue teams to create packages and promotions
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing spa team
  • Implement ongoing product and treatment training with vendor partners
  • Foster a culture of accountability and wellness and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Create and manage incentive programs for upselling and retail performance
  • Collaborate with other resort departments such as Rooms, Food and Beverage, Sales, Events, Engineering, and Housekeeping to enhance overall guest experience and facility standards
  • Provide accurate information to sales for proposals and VIP itineraries
