Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years cooking experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Physical ability to handle knives, pots, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience operating kitchen machinery such as slicers and grinders
  • Ability to perform culinary techniques and maintain safety and sanitation
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds
  • Capability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch
  • Requires standing, walking, repetitive motions, and visual acuity

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 3 years cooking experience
  • Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in standalone restaurants
  • Culinary degree from an accredited program
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understand English

Job Duties

  • Prepare restaurant foods, hot and cold, meeting specifications with attention to plate presentation
  • Maintain knowledge of food products, sanitation standards, policies, procedures, and culinary techniques
  • Work as a team and communicate effectively with management, chefs, and service staff to address guest and employee needs
  • Process requisitions properly, assist in lowering food cost and waste, label and date products for sanitation
  • Read and expedite computer tickets, produce production lists for efficient service, conduct inventory to maintain par levels
  • Assist Chef, Assistant Chef, Cooks, Pantry workers, and Kitchen Helpers in service execution
  • Ensure food appearance, quality, and overall dining experience meet club standards
