Job Requirements

  • Must be bilingual Spanish English
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment
  • 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience
  • current Food Handler's Card or relevant food safety certification valid in Arizona
  • ability to maintain clean and safe kitchen operations
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • authorized to work in the United States
  • willing to undergo pre-employment drug test and background check

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • culinary arts degree or related post-secondary education is preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or institutional food service environment
  • 1+ year of direct supervisory or team lead experience overseeing kitchen staff or associates
  • current Food Handler's Card or relevant food safety certification valid in Arizona, e.g., ServSafe Manager Certification
  • excellent communication, time-management, and leadership skills
  • positive professional demeanor when interacting with kitchen staff and company employees

Job Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
  • support menu development with a focus on quality, consistency, and efficiency
  • oversee food preparation to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with food handling standards
  • help manage food ordering, inventory, and proper storage to minimize waste
  • maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  • provide friendly, respectful, and customer service–focused interactions with employees and guests
  • support and guide kitchen staff
  • foster a positive, employee-friendly work environment
  • step in to assist with kitchen management duties as needed in the Head Chef’s absence
  • ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
