Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Banquet Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage and lead a diverse kitchen team effectively
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Banquet Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage and lead a diverse kitchen team effectively
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills under pressure
  • Experience working in luxury hotels, resorts, or large banquet facilities
  • Certification in food safety such as ServSafe or equivalent
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and kitchen management systems
  • Advanced culinary skills with expertise in multiple cuisines
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with event planners and service staff

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff supervision
  • Plan, prepare, and execute banquet menus and large-scale event catering with precision and creativity
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost controls to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to maintain high performance and professional development
  • Coordinate with event and service teams to ensure timely and flawless food delivery during banquets
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and maintenance needs to ensure operational readiness
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal menu updates based on client preferences and trends
