Job Duties
- Plan and organize meals according to needs of the restaurant
- coordinate with other kitchen staff to determine menu items that can be prepared in a timely manner
- create meal plans for different customers using the knowledge of available ingredients and equipment
- conform to standard kitchen safety protocols
- understand sanitation procedures
- have knowledge of different types of food and how they are prepared
- monitor the quality of food being prepared
- collaborate with other kitchen staff on successful dining experiences for customers
