Job Duties

  • Plan and organize meals according to needs of the restaurant
  • coordinate with other kitchen staff to determine menu items that can be prepared in a timely manner
  • create meal plans for different customers using the knowledge of available ingredients and equipment
  • conform to standard kitchen safety protocols
  • understand sanitation procedures
  • have knowledge of different types of food and how they are prepared
  • monitor the quality of food being prepared
  • collaborate with other kitchen staff on successful dining experiences for customers
