Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or culinary industry
  • ability to stand, walk, and perform essential job functions for eight or more hours
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • flexibility to work varying shifts in a 24/7 operational environment
  • knowledge of hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • culinary degree preferred
  • three or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or other successful food and beverage service industry
  • experience with high volume catering and fine dining
  • proven leadership and managerial skills
  • current on culinary trends
  • ability to energize and lead a diverse team
  • computer literate

Job Duties

  • direct and supervise the efficient operation of food production areas
  • assist in the preparation of all food items based on standardized recipes
  • maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchen, work and storage areas
  • minimize waste and maximize cost/production ratio
  • maintain a hands-on approach during peak meal periods to expedite service
  • monitor food outlets, buffets, stations and food displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness, and safety
  • assist the outlet and banquet managers in daily and weekly duties as needed
