Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in culinary arts or kitchen environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and carry heavy items
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Commitment to quality and food safety standards

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Passion for quality, creativity, and continuous learning

Job Duties

  • Train and mentor kitchen team members on best practices from plate presentation to daily prep
  • Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef ensuring smooth operations and top-tier food quality
  • Ensure every dish meets high standards and is cooked to perfection
  • Maintain open communication between team and leadership providing feedback, coaching, and discipline
  • Resolve kitchen issues quickly to keep service running flawlessly
  • Assist in setting goals and standards to enhance reputation and profitability
  • Participate in inventory, team meetings, and maintaining accurate records like roast charts and recipe cards
