Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a Sous Chef or similar high-volume kitchen role
- Must possess a Nevada Health Card
- Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Physical ability to lift bend kneel and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors less than 25 percent of the time
- Ability to work in smoky noisy hot cold or humid environments
- Reliable transportation or ability to relocate to Las Vegas NV
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar high-volume kitchen role preferably in a restaurant or casino setting
- Nevada Health Card
- Strong leadership ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous experience in a casino setting preferred
Job Duties
- Support in all aspects of kitchen management including food preparation cooking and plating
- Supervise train and coach kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance the menu incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences
- Ensure consistency and presentation of all dishes upholding restaurant standards
- Monitor stock levels assist with ordering supplies and manage food costs effectively
- Participate in weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels of food and supplies ensuring efficient restaurant operations
- Uphold food safety and sanitation regulations maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Address any kitchen challenges that arise and adapt to the fast-paced demands of a casino environment
- Create staff schedules to optimize performance during peak hours
